Globo’s Empire to Air in Israel

SÃO PAULO: Globo has sold its novela Empire into Israel, where it will air on Dori Media Group’s Viva network.

The telenovela will be broadcast with Hebrew subtitles. It tells the story of a humble young man who arrives in Rio de Janeiro looking for a better life and, years later, becomes a millionaire jewel businessman.

Recently nominated for an International Emmy Award in the best telenovela category, the title has already been licensed into more than 15 countries, among them the U.S. (Telemundo) and Portugal (SIC). Viva previously aired such Globo productions as Trail of Lies and Brazil Avenue, among others.
